How to install Network Monitor in Windows 2000

With windows, you can enable Network Monitor (netmon) to monitor and capture network traffic. The netmon is a useful tool when you are troubleshooting networking problems, and is capable of monitoring for specific network events.

To enable Network Monitor, please follow these steps:

1. Go to Start>Settings> Control Panel.

2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

3. Select Add/Remove Windows Components.

4. Click Management and Monitoring Tools, and then click Details.

5. Click to select the Network Monitor Tools check box, and then click OK.

6. Click Next.
