How to run Windows Bare Metal Recovery - Step by step with screenshots
In this article, we use Windows 2008 R2 as example to show you how too run Windows 2008 R2 Bare Metal Recovery.
1. Start the server with Windows 2008 R2 installation DVD.
2. Click Next when Install Windows displays.
3. In the Install now screen, click Repair your computer.
4. If the OS is listed, select it. If not, click Load Drivers.
5. Confirm to select a system image backup.
6. Now, it is re-image the computer.
7. Click Finish.
8. The process may take one to two hours. If you receive a popup warning you "All disks to be restored will be formatted and replaced with the layout and data in the system image", click Yes.
