Case Study - Can't Print from NT 4 to XP Home

Situation: There are two NT 4 workstations in the LAN. The client just bought another two computers running XP Home. He switches a HP LJ 1100 printer from the NT to the XP.

Problem: He can share resources on the XP but not print.

Troubleshooting: 1. If we run \\XP1 (XP1 is the name of the XP with printer), it list all shared folders and printer. We can add the shared printer on NT, but print out is blank.

2. Download a new drive for NT and re-install it.
