Situation: Small company enables RRAS on their windows server 2003 for some home users to access the office LAN. Normally, the VPN works fine.

Problem: The office LAN uses 192.168.0.0/24 while the president of the company uses the same IP range at home. He doesn't wants to change the IP range at home. Since he is using the same IP range of the office LAN, any traffics to 192.168.0.x from the VPN client will remain in the local subnet and never pass through the VPN.

Resolution: Since he only needs to access the home directory of the server which is using IP 192.168.0.11 while his computer IP is 192.168.0.2, we add a persistent route to point to 192.168.0.11. So that he can access the remote server through the special route.
