How To Deploy GPT Partition for Windows Server 2012  - Step by step with screenshots 

If you have a problem to deploy GPT partition on installing Windows 2012 R2 server (refer to this article: ), you may want to convert MBR partition to GPT when installing Windows OS. Here is how.
1. Run BIOS and enable UEFI (Dell server setup BISO mode by default).
2. Boot to Windows Installation screen.
3. Click Repair your computer.

4. Click Troubleshoot.  

5. Click on Command Promot.

6. Run these commands:

1) diskpart

2) list disk

3) select  disk 0 (in our example).

4) Clean.

5) convert gpt.

7. After converting from MBR to GPT successfully, restart the computer and install the OS.
