Product Review: GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP

As IT Manager in a small business, I was frustrated of receiving thousands of fraudulent, inappropriate and offensive emails in our email system every day. The Help Desk took a lot time answering spam related questions and our Exchange server performance was affected by spam. We have tried Exchange 2003 Intelligent Filtering and Connection Filtering. However, these features are limited in monitoring, security, and anti-spam functions.

We recognized that in order to boost our productivity and save our time and money, we must have a 3rd party software which can provide comprehensive anti-spam capabilities, industrial-strength mail monitoring, and the ability to add disclaimers to all outgoing messages. After trying out a few solutions, we choose GFI MailEssentials.

With over 60 awards to its name, 70,000 satisfied customers and unbeatable price-performance, GFI MailEssentials provides spam protection at the server level and eliminates the need to install and update anti-spam software on each desktop. It offers a fast set-up and a high spam detection rate using Bayesian analysis and other methods with very low false positives through its automatic whitelist, and the ability to automatically adapt to the email environment to constantly tune and improve spam detection.
