Can we change SBS 2003 name?

Q: We have a new dell server which came pre-installed with SBS 2003. We have not configured it or connected it in the network yet.

I have two questions;

1. Can we change the server name somehow at this stage?

2. Can this new server have the same name as the old server (sbs

2000) if we are going to use Swing software for migration?

A: You can't rename an SBS server, but reinstalling SBS from scratch at this point would be fairly simple.

If you're doing a Swing Migration, you'll be reinstalling anyway, and you will be able to give the new server the same name as the existing one.  This is all documented in the Swing docs, so you shouldn't have any problem.
