Requirements for Hyper-V

Hardware Requirements

Processor: An x64-based processor, hardware-assisted virtualization, and hardware data execution protection.

Memory: The minimum requirement for the parent partition is 512 MB. However, it is recommended that you should allocate 2 GB. This is because you will need to install drivers and agents on the parent partition. Each child partition requires a minimum of 32 MB memory. For the additional memory needed by each virtual machine, you need to install 8 MB of memory.

BIOS: The Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) of the server must support hardware-assisted virtualization. Many old BIOSs do not support hardware-assisted virtualization.
In some cases, the BIOS is manually disabled so that it does not support hardware-assisted virtualization. If required, these settings can be changed in the BIOS.

Software Requirements

OS: Windows 2008 64bit and Update for Windows Server 2008 x64 Edition/.
