How to recover deleted contacts in Outlook - Step by step with screenshots 

 

There are many ways and many levels to recover deleted Contacts in Outlook.

 

1. The first thing you should try is Deleted Items under your mailbox..

 

2. if the contact in the Deleted Items folder has been emptied and has been hard deleted (Shift+Del), Recover Deleted Items on the Tools menu of Outlook 2007 or on Folder of Outlook 2010.

 


  

 

To recover the deleted Contact from Recover Deleted Items, follow these steps:
1) Click on Recover Deleted Items to open it.
2) Locate the contact and then click Recover Selected Items icon.
3) In the main message list, drag the Contact to the Contacts button at the bottom of the Navigation Pane.

Note: Your Exchange administrator specifies the retention time for items that are deleted permanently on the server running Exchange. After this time elapses, you cannot recover the deleted items.

 

3. If the contacts are deleted permanently on the server running Exchange. The only option is restoring them from the backup. Note: In most cases, you need to restore whole Exchange database to a restore database.
