How to setup Exchange 2010 using External DNS Lookups  - Step by step with screenshots 

1. Run EMC and navigate to Server Configuration>Hub Transport.

2. Right click the Exchange server and select Properties.

3. Click External DNS Lookups.

4. Check Use these DNS servers and enter the external DNS IP address, for example 4.2.2.2 or 4.2.2.1.
