How to restore email in Exchange 2010 - Part 1

 

This example shows you how we restore a mailbox in Exchange 2010. First of all we restore the Exchange database from Windows Backup. Then use Exchange Management Shell command line to restore the mailbox.

 

1. Run Windows Backup and start the Recovery Wizard by clicking Recovery..

 

 

 

2. In the Getting Started, select the server where is the backup stored.

 

3. Select the backup date.

 

4. Select Files and folders in Recovery Type.

 

5. Select the database you want to recover.

 

6. Select the location you will recover the database. Note: you may want to create the folder before running Recovery.

 

7. Confirm the selection and click Recover to start the restoration.
