16. Now, you should see the new created CN=Passpoladmins under Password Settings Container.

 

17. To assign the password policy to a user or group, right click on CN=PaaPolAdmins, check Mandatory, Optional, Constructed, Backlinks, and System-only in filter.

18. In CN=PassPolAdmins Attribute Editor, right click on msDS-PSOAppliiesTo and then Edit.

 

19. Click Add Windows Account and enter the user name or group name.

20. After adding the name, click OK to save the settings.

21. Now, you should see the SID in the msDS-PSOAlliesTo.

22. If you open the user or group Properties>Attribute Editor in ADUC, you should see msDS-ResultantPSO. Now you can test the password policy.
