How to Uninstall Microsoft Patches on Selected Computers
As we know, some XP computers may not work properly after installing a patch. In this example, we will shows you how to uninstall a Microsoft Patch on selected computers step by step.
2. Perform the entire network scan. 4. You can sort patches by computers or patches. 5. In Specify which patches to uninstall from the which computers, select the patch you want to uninstall. All computers with the same patch are checked automatically.
6. If you receive "You chose not to restart the target computers after uninstallation" as below when clicking Start. You can click on Yes to continue. If you want to restart the computers after uninstallation, you click on No and then re-configure the Deployment options.
7. To re-configure the Deployment options, right click on Uninstall Microsoft Patches and select Deployment options.
8. In the General of Deployment options, you have options to warn user, wait for user's approval and stop services before uninstallation. You also have options such as "Do not reboot/shut down the computer(s)", "Reboot the target computers", "Let the user decide when to reboot" and "Shut down the target computer(s) after uninstallation".
9. In the Advanced tab of Deployment options, you can setup number of deployment threads, deployment timeout, deploy patches under the following administrative account and deploy patches with their original names.
10. Before uninstalling the patch, you may want to check the patch information such as Bulletin ID, Date, Severity, Title, Description, Applies to and URL as showed below. To do that, right click on the patch, select More details and then Bulletin Info.
11. After starting the Uninstallation, the Uninstallation status displays the uninstallation information.
