How to mount a vhd file in Windows Disk Management - Step by step with screenshots
There are many ways to mount a vhd file.
If you are running Windows 7 or above, you can mount a vhd file form Disk Management. To do that, open Computer Management, and then click Storage. Right click on Disk Management. Select Attach VHD.
2. Mount a vhd file using script in Hyper-V server. Hyper-V comes with a complete Image Management Service that ca n be called from scripts, programs, and code to perform mount and unmount operations. Download the mountvhd.vbs from here. After saving the vhdmount.vbs, run this command: cscript vhdmount.vbs d:\vms\test.vhd. test.vhd is the name of Virtual Hard Disk you want to mount.
