Using WinRoute to collect Exchange routing information

 

WinRoute is a tool that should be the first step in troubleshooting routing in an Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 mail-handling environment. The below is the step how to download and use WinRoute.

 

1. Please download the WinRoute tool from the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=c5a8afbf-a4da-45e0-
adea-6d44eb6c257b&displaylang=en

2. Start WinRoute.exe.
3. On the File menu, click New Server Query.
4. Type the server name and bind options that you want to use to connect to
an Exchange server. 
5. Click File, click Save As to save the routing information to a .rte
file.
