How to troubleshoot NDRs with 5.7.1 and 5.7.3 error codesResolution 2: Enable Anonymous - Anonymous access to SMTP virtual servers disabled The 5.7.1 and 5.7.3 error codes can also occur when the Anonymous access check box has been disabled. To enable the Anonymous access check box, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Programs, click Microsoft Exchange, then click System Manager. 2. In the Exchange System Manager, expand the Servers container. 3. Expand the container that is for your Exchange server. 4. Expand the Protocols container. 5. Expand the SMTP container. 6. Right-click on the SMTP virtual server object, and then click Properties. 7. Click the Access tab. 8. Click the Authentication button. 9. Check the Anonymous access. 10. Click OK twice. 11. Right-click the SMTP virtual server, and then click Stop. 12. Right-click the SMTP virtual server, and then click Start. Note: Restart both the Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) service and the Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine service.
